On my mind: Diapers and Vegetables

I think I've come to the conclusion that I should not do blueberries or strawberries this year. With all the yard work we have to do, I don't know if it would be sensible to add something I may not even get to enjoy. Husband has accepted a job and we may be moving. He accepted this job over a year ago and we are just waiting on the call for when and where to go. I hope they keep him here, but with no guarantee, I may not even be here to enjoy this year's garden. I think once March gets here and it's a little bit warmer, we'll be spending tons of time outside clearing our chain link fence and cutting down dead trees and weed trees. We also have to get the garden spot ready. I can't wait to eat the first tomato.

As for diapers, I have a lot of diaper covers knit up for a newborn (about 4 in size newborn and small), but I only have 12 actual diapers so far, and they are prefolds. I really want some fitteds and hope I find time to make about 12. I can't wait to have this baby. I feel like I am so far from ready though. We did get the crib and the dresser. Husband's parents helped us out with that, thank goodness. This new house is eating all our money. Our most recent project (but still not finished) is re grouting my bathroom. We have all the prep done and half the grout work done. It is looking wonderful. We were trying to put this off until all the unpacking was done, but a tile fell. In fact, it fell on the boy. No injuries though, just surprised him. We'll my half-caff coffee is now empty and I must get back to working. I think I'll finish cleaning the kitchen, unpack a few boxes, declutter a little (focusing on the dining room) and hopefully a little vacuuming.

OH MY!!! that's all I can say

It has been a busy !3 MONTHS! since I last posted. How did the time go by so quickly without me so much as popping on to type my thoughts? Well, I must say it's because I went from be a "simple housewife" and mom to being a full time working mom. My job? Cleaning houses. Sounds simple, right? That's what I do all the time, but now I can get paid for it. Well, I guess I choose the company I worked for poorly. The "Boss" had no idea what he was doing. He is older than me, but definately not mature enough to run a cleaning company. In fact he didn't do anything to get the job. His mom owns the franchise in town. One example of his immaturity: he complains he doesn't make any money, but yet he goes out drinking almost every night. In fact, sometimes he's even drunk at work. He's had so many DUI's and wrecks that surely he would be thrown in jail by now, but his parents have money and can pay for a good lawyer. He currently doesn't even have his license. but it doesn't stop him from driving drunk though. I just hope he never hurts anyone, but I do hope he gets taught a lesson.
So after numerous times of driving the 30-45 minutes to get to the office and being sent home because they don't need me, I quit. I don't think it shows much courtesy on their part to not at least let me know before I left for work that they didn't need me. But at least they were predictable, this is not the only incident of them being disrespectful.

So I'm still not a "housewife." I play housewife during the day and work a few nights a week at a pizza place. It's a much better job. I feel appreciated and I'm not leaving feeling like I spent the last 10 hours running through a jungle trying to escape a jaguar. I also make good money, cuz lets face it, girls make more money delivering pizza than boys do.
