OH MY!!! that's all I can say

It has been a busy !3 MONTHS! since I last posted. How did the time go by so quickly without me so much as popping on to type my thoughts? Well, I must say it's because I went from be a "simple housewife" and mom to being a full time working mom. My job? Cleaning houses. Sounds simple, right? That's what I do all the time, but now I can get paid for it. Well, I guess I choose the company I worked for poorly. The "Boss" had no idea what he was doing. He is older than me, but definately not mature enough to run a cleaning company. In fact he didn't do anything to get the job. His mom owns the franchise in town. One example of his immaturity: he complains he doesn't make any money, but yet he goes out drinking almost every night. In fact, sometimes he's even drunk at work. He's had so many DUI's and wrecks that surely he would be thrown in jail by now, but his parents have money and can pay for a good lawyer. He currently doesn't even have his license. but it doesn't stop him from driving drunk though. I just hope he never hurts anyone, but I do hope he gets taught a lesson.
So after numerous times of driving the 30-45 minutes to get to the office and being sent home because they don't need me, I quit. I don't think it shows much courtesy on their part to not at least let me know before I left for work that they didn't need me. But at least they were predictable, this is not the only incident of them being disrespectful.

So I'm still not a "housewife." I play housewife during the day and work a few nights a week at a pizza place. It's a much better job. I feel appreciated and I'm not leaving feeling like I spent the last 10 hours running through a jungle trying to escape a jaguar. I also make good money, cuz lets face it, girls make more money delivering pizza than boys do.

Plants are Growing!

I love seeing my seeds grow into beautiful plants. So far they are just getting their real leaves, but I'm so excited that I haven't killed them yet.

Do I Need Coffee?

Well, I wouldn't say I "need" it, but I am very slow at waking up and don't feel motivated right away. In fact without my coffee, I just want to veg on the couch for an hour before I do anything. With an almost 2 year old, I don't have that luxury, so I've turned to coffee, asking it to please help. Just this morning, I got the Little Man his breakfast and some milk to drink. Then went and started my coffee. Enjoying the smell of this fresh coffee, the Little Man was done eating and went to go play. I'm trying to pick up a little bit and then I decide I'm going to pour my creamer in my glass and get ready to drink it. Well, I get my glass and as I'm putting creamer in, I see the crystal light it was sitting next too. I'm thinking, oh that looks good too, but I need some caffeine in me first. So I put the creamer away, and without thinking, grab the pitcher of crystal light....and poor it in with my creamer, the smell of chocolate caramel creamer mixed with strawberry banana orange crystal light hits my nose and knocks me to my senses. All I can think of is, "wow, maybe I do need my coffee."

Keeper of the House and Wrangler of the Children

I am the Keeper of the House and Wrangler of the Children. It's a hard job, but that's what I do.

I was told Monday night that The Man would appreciate it if I made brownies, or even my famous Brownie Cookie Cake, by Tuesday night to bring in to work. Well, I started making it Tuesday night when The Man and Little Man went to sleep. I was already making my brownies and realized that I am out of cocoa powder, and I already had it all mixed together, so then I look over my recipes and try to find one that uses the amount I already had mixed together of sugar and flour and hopefully 2 1/2 sticks of butter...well, I settled on making a double batch of my peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Now a single batch makes too many cookies for us to eat in a week, so half of it will be frozen. I ended up burning the first batch I baked, so I had to turn the temp down a few degrees...our oven is hard to set properly, I really need a thermometer in there. So after I made enough cookies (that weren't burned) for his co-workers to have 2 each, I cleaned up and went to bed...this was at 2am. The little man wakes up anywhere from 7 - 8:30, and was up till almost 10 this night, so I was hoping for at least 8:30, if not later, well, he was up at 7:30. So I get up, even though I've been dealing with painful Mittlesmertz the whole night, even with meds and a heating pad. I then get him fed and get my coffee, I need that coffee.

Now I'm working on my second cup of coffee and waiting for a nap (please don't skip one again) so I can start my tomato seeds and sew a diaper and list diapers for sale on line. All of this is on top of being Keeper of the House and Wrangler of the Children (Child). This is a busy life, but I do enjoy it.

Girl on a Mission!

So my mission tonight, should I choice to accept it, is to put everything that is out away....and, I'm not done, since I'll be able to reach everywhere, dust, then vacuum and sweep the floor. For extra credit, I will be attempting to have the kitchen spotless. This includes, cabinet doors wiped off, stove cleaned, and all dishes put away.

Update:

Well, the man came home early last night, I was planning on having an hour after I laid the little man down, but it didn't happen that way. But between last night and this morning (while the man was occupying the little man) I did get to clean up *some* toys and clutter, got 3 loads of laundry done - one being diapers, so who ever cloth diapers knows that takes a little bit longer (not much though) than regular laundry, and the kitchen in clean, but I didn't have time to wipe off the cabinet doors. Maybe by Monday I'll have time to dust, sweep and vacuum. But for this mission, I give myself a B+

Day of Weeds

Well, yesterday was a very full day, along with getting Mr. Meowgi (my very cute female cat) fixed, I spent just about the whole day outside enjoy the warm weather and playing in my garden. That garden needed so many darn weeds pulled. And these aren't just regular weeds, these are super duper, root-y weeds. They run throughout the ground of the garden, not too much poking their head out, but I know they would definitely decide to invade my garden the minute I plant my veggies, so they had to go. Now my garden is looking more and more like a real garden. I even dreamed of weeding last night. Not the best thing to dream about, but it's understandable since I spent more than 5 hours outside weeding.

This morning I'm just trying to finish my first cup of coffee so I can have that boost of energy to get stuff done. We'll see what gets done today.
